Getting Ready For Computer Placement Tests

The placement tests are an innovative approach used to help place you in the right course(s). The tests adapt to your individual abilities by selecting questions geared toward your knowledge. The tests are not timed.

Tests are administered in the Testing Center, Bldg. 9-927. Try to come for your placement test(s) rested and well. Allow plenty of time to avoid rushing. Relax before the test(s) start. You will probably do better if you feel confident. There are no accommodations for children.

Since the test(s) measure your capabilities, YOU WILL WANT TO DO YOUR BEST. These tips may be helpful.

1. Follow all instructions.
2. Concentrate on your work.
3. Avoid distractions.
4. Answer each question when presented.

You CANNOT return to a question.
