Fire Service Program
The fire service program at BCCC is offered to
all fire departments in Beaufort, Tyrrell and Hyde counties. Classes offered are for
certification at the levels of Firefighter I and II. There are 226 hours needed for Level
I and 143 hours needed for Level II (total of 345 hours). We also offer many specialty
classes such as:
- Emergency Rescue Technician
- Special Rescue Operations
- Hazardous Materials/Terrorism
- Land Search Rescue
- Fire Arson Detection
- Emergency Vehicle Driving
- Incident Command
- Water Rescue
- Extrication
- High Level Rescue
- Confined Space/Trench Rescue
- NIMS
- Firefighter I & II Certification
