Orientation

Orientation/Assessment is REQUIRED (online OR on campus) for students who have not previously taken an online course (Sections 20, 21…).

The orientation session is a vital part in making the distance learning experience successful.* It will familiarize you with the Blackboard software environment and will give you instructions on how to enter your class and access student email. If you registered late, you may have to wait 24 hours before course access is availalbe.

Students interested in a face-to-face orientation should attend one of these sessions in the Library (Building 5) computer lab:

Summer Term

  • May 21, at 12:00 noon or 5:00pm
  • May 22 at 12:00 noon or 5:00pm

Fall Semester

  • August 15, at 12:00 noon or 5:00pm
  • August 16, at 12:00 noon
  • August 19, at 12:00 noon or 5:00pm

If you are taking an online/hybrid course for the first time, this orientation will help you learn how to navigate your course and will give you an opportunity to ask questions.
